For an incredible experience,
spend a few days and nights at a little piece of heaven on
this all but deserted white sand motu- one hour by boat
across the lagoon from the Kia Ora Village. Here you'll
find the Kia Ora Sauvage, where small and simple are the
cardinal rules. Five
enchanting bungalows provide accommodations for a total of
10 guests. Each thatched-roof bungalow has been hand-crafted
from native wood, bamboo and palm. The bungalows have
private facilities featuring gardens and showers. Avearahi
is not wired for electricity or phones so your complete
escape from civilization is guaranteed. Each evening, soft
glowing oil lamps are brought to your bungalow. At night you
can relax on your private terrace under a sky filled with
stars and watch the torches being lit on the beach. A sandy
beach, hammock, lounge chairs and a large deck give you
plenty of perches to view the beautiful lagoon.
A charming staff provides the
resort's services: simple, healthful meals emphasizing fresh
seafood; a cocktail and snack bar; and, island activities
fitting the season, such as fishing, shelling and reef
exploration. A canoe, snorkeling and fishing equipment are
all available for your use. The resort prefers that guests
allow a minimum of two nights at the Kia Ora Sauvage. Due to
flight schedules into and out of Rangiroa, it is frequently
necessary and recommended that you allow at least one night
at Kia Ora Village before and after your visit.
Words can’t describe the
warmth, peace, and refreshing experience of spending a few
days in this magnificent location. |
