Hiva Oa Hanakee Pearl Lodge
The Marquesas, or Henua Enata meaning "Land of Men", are a group of ‘high islands’, known for their spire-like green peaks raising from the deep indigo Pacific ocean. The Marquesas offer breathtaking scenery and are known for their numerous archaeological sites, including a wild, untamed landscape, giant stone tiki, endless and unearthly vistas, and as the final resting place of poet Jacques Brel and artist Paul Gauguin. The Hiva Oa Hanakee Pearl Lodge faces the majestic Mount Temetiu, and offers amazing views of Traitors Bay, the Bordelais canal, the small island of Hanakee and in the distance the precipitous volcanic island of Tahuata.

Nuku Hiva is a mystic island where natural wonders abound such as 1000-foot waterfalls cascade down sheer volcanic cliffs, or towering mountains disappearing mysteriously in the clouds.
